Residents point out that Peabody has evolved into a diverse and vibrant community making it not only a wonderful place to live and raise a family but also a tremendous success story.
Welcome to Solar for Our Superheroes' Kick-Off Benefit Dance!
Solar for Our Superheroes (S4OS) is a new nonprofit dedicated to providing local leaders, like veterans, teachers, police officers and firefiighters, with solar panels for their homes. We are excited to be having our first fundraiser to introduce ourselves and raise money to give solar panels to our first hero!
Dinner, dancing, and raffle prizes, what better way to meet your neighbors while supporting clean energy in your area?
Who is a "hero"?
Solar for Our Superheroes recognizes those who give back to their community more than they expect in return, or more than the average Joe. We recognize particularlly veterans, firefighters, teachers, and police officers, but a hero could be anyone, whether a soldier or a librarian.
So how do you decide who gets solar panels?
We recognize there are a lot of people who deserve to receive the benefits we give, but as a young organization, we can only help so many. We choose based on a number of factors including but not limited to solar potential of the home, whether they own the home or not, years and level or service, and local donor support.
How much are tickets and how can I buy them?
Reserve your ticket here on Eventbrite ahead for only $25, or pay $30 at the door. If you are pretty sure you are coming, but want to pay at the door, please RSVP on facebook so we can head a accurate headcount for food.
Do I need to bring a copy of my ticket to the door?
Yes. Print out a copy or use the Eventbrite app on your phone.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Absolutely, we just need a headcount.
What should I wear/bring?
This is a somewhat formal occasion, so please dress appropriately, but be sure to be able to dance! Also be sure to bring some money to participate in our raffles!
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Reach out to Krissy by call/text/or email with any concerns, questions, or comments.

Social Media Breakfast North Shore opened its doors on July 31, 2012 with an informal breakfast at the Boardroom Cafe in Beverly. Over the past two years, we rotated about a dozen times in restaurants, businesses, and conference spaces in Amesbury, Beverly, Haverhill, Peabody, and Woburn.
Our next event -- and our 14th -- occurs July 29 at the Century House on Rt. 114 in Peabody. Please bring cash (and an appetite) for breakfast. Bring your business cards and you're welcome to bring product samples to show and/or for people to take away.
Please show up on time -- because the breakfast will start with something new, something we haven't done in our two years together. It's a secret. All you should know is what happens at a social media breakfast lives on in social media.
The hashtag for the event (on Twitter, Facebook, etc.) is #smbns.
Hope to see you there!

The North Shore Business Association (NSBA) seeks to connect individuals, managers, salespersons, and business owners on the North Shore of Boston for the purposes of building solid relationships and passing qualified business referrals. We seek to bring together the most qualified, professional, and dedicated individuals within the respective industries of law, real estate, insurance, finance, banking, accounting, construction/development and all associated industries within that contact-sphere, as well as service providers to those fields, for the purposes of helping one another generate more business and expand our careers!
Our featured guest for this event will be Richard Tisei, founder of Northrup Associates and candidate for Congress.
In today’s era of highly partisan politics, Richard Tisei is unique. As a local businessman and former State Senator, Richard has developed a reputation as a problem solver who works across party lines to get things done, and focuses on the needs of those he represents. Respected by both Democrats and Republicans alike, Richard has been endorsed in the past by the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald and many other publications familiar with his character, leadership, and effectiveness as a State Legislator.
Richard’s independently owned, Lynnfield-based real estate firm, Northrup Associates, has grown into one of the largest independent real estate firms on the North Shore. Aside from owning and managing the business, Richard has been a successful Realtor, developing a knack for overcoming obstacles in order to bring buyers and sellers together.
